Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan loses no-confidence vote

Islamabad: After all the political drama for a month, the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has finally lost the no-confidence motion voted midnight in the National Assembly of Pakistan. He has lost the majority with 174 members voted against him.

The house was adjourned for a minute on April 09 and commenced later officially Sunday April 10.

Imran Khan was not present in the Assembly at the time of voting. Only 2 leaders of Imran Khan's party PTI were present in the Pakistan National Assembly. 

Imran Khan has become the first Prime Minister in the history of Pakistan who has been Voted Out from the office of the Prime Minister. 

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s Principal Secretary Azam Khan has been transferred and ordered to report to establishment division until further orders. Azam Khan’s name to be entered into the Exit Control List (ECL) meaning he can’t leave Pakistan.

Just before the voting, Speaker Asad Qaiser and the Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri of the National Assembly resigned. PMLN leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq took over as the speaker chair for the vote of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
