Harvey Weinstein said that Jennifer Aniston "should be killed" in response to false allegations from a third party that he had once groped the actress, according to newly unsealed court documents, The New York Times reports.
The disgraced Hollywood mogul lashed out at the "Friends" star in an email on Oct. 31, 2017, which was fired off to a tabloid reporter asking for comment on the rumors that he had sexually harassed Aniston.
"Jen Aniston should be killed," he stated.
The reporter approached Weinstein claiming that the tabloid intended to publish a story reporting Aniston was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein, according to Variety, which had viewed the correspondence.
Aniston's rep Stephen Huvane insisted the claims were not true.
"He never got close enough to her to touch her," Huvane said in a statement this week, per The New York Times. "She has never been alone with him. We have no idea about the email, since it wasn’t sent to us, nor do we have any comment to make on it."
Roughly 1,000 pages of documents were unsealed with details of other emails in which Weinstein reached out to others for backing amid the #MeToo movement.
"My board is thinking of firing me," Weinstein wrote in a desperate attempt to gain support to continue his job at Miramax. "All I’m asking for is, let me take a leave of absence and get into heavy therapy and counseling whether it be in a facility or somewhere else, and allow me to resurrect myself with a second chance."
Weinstein was convicted Feb. 24 of rape and sexual assault. He was found guilty of sexually assaulting production assistant Mimi Haley in 2006 and raping an aspiring actress in a New York City hotel room in 2013.
Weinstein was acquitted on the most serious charges, two counts of predatory sexual assault, each carrying a sentence of up to life in prison. The sexual assault charge carries up to 25 years in prison, while the rape is punishable by up to four years.
