Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, ripped Joe Biden for a tweet criticizing President Donald Trump’s actions regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
The former vice president had tweeted Thursday: “A wall will not stop the coronavirus. Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it. This disease could impact every nation and any person on the planet — and we need a plan to combat it."
As fears over the coronavirus spread, Trump had said on Tuesday that the U.S. needs the southern border wall now “more than ever.”
Meanwhile, Crenshaw fired back at Biden over his remarks.
The congressman tweeted: “First, walls quite literally stop a virus. It’s kind of the whole point of a quarantine, for instance. Second, assuming you meant this metaphorically, health experts like Dr. (Anthony) Fauci and everyone else agree travel restrictions have vastly slowed the spread of the virus in the US."
