Coimbatore: Indian Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari will bring back the mortal remains of Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife along with other Armed Forces personnel killed in the chopper crash by evening tomorrow.
India's first Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, today, when he was on his way to deliver a lecture at Defence Staff Services College in Wellington, met with an accident when the chopper carrying him, his wife and 12 others crashed just 10 kms before the landing.
General Rawat, his wife were severely injured and succumbed. 13 other Army and Air Force personnel died in the accident. Only Indian Air Force's Group Captain Varun Singh has survived the crash and battling for his life.
