Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday derided former Vice President Joe Biden for his age and suggested the Trump campaign go after his forgetfulness.
“There are so many ways to run against Joe Biden. It might be better just to run against him that he doesn’t recognize his wife,” Giuliani said Wednesday during an appearance on Newsmax TV’s new show, “Spicer & Co.”
“I know Joe, before this, for a long, long time. His neice worked for me for about five or six years in city hall. There’s something wrong with him. That isn’t normal stuff – to forget the Pledge of Allegiance, to think your sister is your wife, to think you’re someplace else. I have friends who have that problem. It’s a progressive thing. If he’s like this now, imagine what he’ll be like 10 years from now. It doesn’t get better.’
Giuliani was referring to the 77-year-old Biden's apparent inability to remember the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence during a campaign stop in Texas Tuesday. Biden also confused his wife, Jill Biden, with his sister, Valerie, during a stop in California.
“By the way, this is my little sister Valerie!” Biden said as he grabbed his wife’s right hand. “And I’m Jill’s husband,” he added when reaching for his sister’s.
Biden captured a first-place finish in Virginia, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Arkansas, North Carolina, Alabama, and Oklahoma. Sen. Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, has only won Utah, Colorado, California, and his home state of Vermont.
Giuliani said Biden still has the Burisma-Ukraine issue hanging over his head – Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, paid Biden’s son, Hunter, $1 million a year as a board member.
“Joe Biden was bribed by Mykola Zlochevsky, who owned Burisma,” Giuliani said Wednesday.
“Zlochevsky stole $5 billion dollars from the Ukrainian government. He was thrown out of the country when the revolution took place and was afraid his company was going to be taken away from him. So he went and he bought heavy political figures to protect him – somebody from Poland, somebody from France. The money to Hunter Biden was to get Joe Biden’s protection so his company wouldn’t be taken from him. And the prosecutor got fired within four weeks of issuing an arrest warrant against the company. When he went to go after the company, that’s when Biden fired him.”
