New Delhi: As per the sources, the Union Cabinet has approved the Bill to repeal 3 Farm laws. The Bill will be tabled in Parliament in the coming Winter session which begins on November 29.
Sources say the Agriculture Minister finalised the Bill following discussions with the Prime Minister's Office. He is likely to table to repeal Bill in the Parliament.
The Bill seeks to overturn the three Agriculture Bills passsed last year - the 2020 Agriculture Trade and Trade (Promotion & Facilitation) Act, the 2020 Price Assurance Agreement and Farmers' Agricultural Services (Empowerment and Protection) and Essential Products (Amendment) Act, 2020.
Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh are sitting on protest on Delhi borders since last year against the 3 laws.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Gurupurab day last Friday promised to repeal the 3 Farm laws and requested the farmers to end the stir.
