Poll: Trump Approval Hits 48 Percent

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has jumped to 48% in a new NBC News/SurveyMonkey online poll.

Fifty-one percent disapprove of his job performance.

A September poll by NBC News/SurveyMonkey put his approval at 45% and his disapproval at 54%.

Here are how the new poll results, released Friday, break down:

  • 22% said immigration is the issue that matters most to them right now.
  • 21% said healthcare is the issue that matters most to them right now.
  • 21% said jobs is the issue that matters most to them right now.
  • 14% said the environment is the issue that matters most to them right now.
  • 68% said the national economy is "very good" or "fairly good."
  • 75% said they "somewhat disapprove" or "strongly disapprove" of the way Congress is handling its job, compared to 24% who approve.
  • 64% said they do not want the Supreme Court to overturn Roe w. Wade, while 32% said they would favor it.

The poll, conducted July 2-16, surveyed 13,553 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
