Islamabad: In a fresh development in the political crisis situation in Pakistan, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly have resigned just before the voting begins in the National Assembly. The development has come before the hearing by the larger bench of Pakistan Supreme Court against the Imran Khan Government.
Speaker Asad Qaiser has resigned from his post with an emotional speech saying,"he backs Imran Khan and Countrymen need to be khudar Quam."
PMLN leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has taken over the speaker chair for the vote of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
No confidence motion voting has started in the assembly.
