5 Shot, Unexploded Devices Found at NYC Subway Station

New York: New York City police are investigating multiple shootings at a subway station in Brooklyn.

The New York Post said the incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park.

The Associated Press, citing law-enforcement sources, reports five people were shot and a six or more also suffered injuries. 

AP said  fire department found people shot and undetonated explosive devices. The news agency aso reported that one law- enforcement source said a suspect was dressed in construction clothes.

Robert Moses, a reporter for Fox 5 in New York tweeted: “Breaking: a law enforcement source tells me multiple people have been shot and some kind of device went off at the 36th Street subway station in Sunset Park.”

The Post noted it was still unclear what happened, but showed gruesome photos from social media illustrating the incident.

The NYPD tweeted: “ADVISORY: Due to an investigation, avoid the area of 36th Street and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn. Expect emergency vehicles and delays in the surrounding area,”
