Sixty-five percent of voters support President Donald Trump’s decision to call off a military strike against Iran, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll.
Only 14% oppose the decision by Trump.

- 77% of Republicans back Trump’s decision.
- 62% of Democrats support Trump’s decision.
- 57% of independents back Trump’s decision.
- 42% oppose military action in Iran, while 36% support it.
- 43% approve of the job Trump is doing as president, compared to 54% who disapprove.
The poll, conducted June 21-24, surveyed 1,991 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
