Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Ashish Mishra granted bail

Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has granted bail to Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajai Mishra Teni, in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case that killed 8. Ashish is the prime accused in the case. 

He was declared the main accused in the chargesheet filed by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) in the incident that took place on October 3, 2021. The 5,000-page charge sheet, which was submitted in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Chinta Ram, reportedly said that Ashish Mishra was at the spot where the violence took place. 

Mishra was arrested on October 9 last year by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
